Founded by longtime interactive technology industry veteran John Francis, the team at Ontios combines technology marketing expertise, entrepreneurial experience and business insight along with a deep immersion in online strategy and website development.

Mr. Francis recently completed his 3rd term (9 years) as a member of the Massachusetts Innovation and Technology Exchange (MITX) for whom he has co-chaired the MITX Technology Awards (now Innovation Awards) program for 8 years.  He serves as an adviser to several technology and technology services companies and is a frequent judge at web and web technology competitions.  He has also been a frequent guest lecturer at the Babson Graduate School of Business and the Boston College Graduate School of Business.

Prior to founding Ontios, Mr. Francis served as President of Boston Interactive, an award winning interactive design and development firm based in Charlestown, MA as well as CodeLab Technology Group where he led the repackaging and repositioning of CodeLab as well as the very successful creation of its Selling Memorandum.  Mr. Francis helped to grow and subsequently sell CodeLab to a larger public entity resulting in the very successful acquisition and integration of CodeLab, as well as the realization of significant “above market” returns for CodeLab’s shareholders.

Mr. Francis had previously served as VP of Marketing and Business Development at a venture-backed firm developing advanced desktop virtualization tools as well as co-founding and serving as President of ReadyAbout Interactive, a Boston-based award winning full service interactive design and development firm that he lead from 1997 – 2002.

The Ontios team leverages the expertise of a variety of highly skilled industry veterans with a keen understanding of the disciplines of corporate positioning,  interactive marketing, usability and an appreciation for the special challenges associated with the differentiation of services and technology offerings.
